Goal: Understanding Bullying Definitions and Allowing others an opportunity to see trends in bullying at iMiddle
Materials: colored post it notes in blue and pink (about 2 per person), chart paper laminated, duct tape
1. Explain that this activity is going to provide an opportunity for students to learn about bullying definitions, how to stop bullying, and to discuss trends seen at iMiddle regarding bullying of our students
3. Comments from video?Pass out about 2 post it notes to each student, Blue for the males and Pink for the females. Explain the bar graph that they are about to see life size on the wall outside and the different categories of bullying and prevention. Explain that each student will be asked to place his or her post it on two areas that best represent them. This will be completely anonymous so they are welcome to be honest. If students only have one post it to place, that is okay.
Walk students out to the wall outside the video room, between Rm 5 and Ms. Labas' office, across from the grass and tree.
After everyone is done, take a look at the current iMiddle trend and discuss what you notice. Anything shocking?
